We are quickly approaching the return of the creepy hit NBC series Hannibal. Season two is set to debut on February 28th, which means that all the final details eluding to the premiere are going to start coming out. Earlier this month, we showed you the first promotional photo for the upcoming season along with a teaser of what the new season may hold. However, in the promo that was released earlier today comes with a grave warning.
As you know, Hannibal is based off the characters created by author Thomas Harris in his novel Red Dragon. The show explores the early relationship between renowned forensic psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter, who is portrayed in the series by Mads Mikkelsen, and a young FBI Criminal Profiler by the name of Will Graham, portrayed in the series by Hugh Dancy. Graham finds himself haunted by his ability to empathize with the same serial killers he is tasked with finding.
When the new season starts, in an episode which is entitled “Kaiseki,” we will find Will still in custody for the murder of Abigail. However, he asserts that he is not responsible for the atrocity.
“Hannibal Lecter did this to me. You may not believe me now, but you will.” He says. “Stay away from Hannibal Lecter.”
That couldn’t possibly be more ominous.
