It seems like every time you turn around these past few days, there is something new on Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Yesterday, Marvel gave us not just 3 new character posters, but 5 brand spanking new images from the set of the film. Earlier today, they gave to us a preview of what we can expect from the Captain America: The Winter Soldier Super Bowl XLVIII TV Spot. Now, they have released 2 new posters for the upcoming film.
Just in case you have not already gathered the premise of the next installation of the Captain America franchise, here is a look at the synopsis for the film courtesy of IMDb.com.
Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and battles a new threat from old history: the Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier.”
The new U.S. Poster is a little darker than the rest of them, which fits right in with the darker tone to The Winter Soldier. I mean, it’s not exactly a happy day when you find out that someone who you used to consider your best friend is now trying to destroy everything you hold dear.
Then, there is the U.K. version of the poster, which is a little brighter, and uses a lot more blues. In this version, instead of having Captain America fully masked as in the U.S. Version, they are showing more of the Steve Rogers side of Captain America. This is something they are going to touch on a little more in The Winter Soldier as Rogers is having difficulties acclimating to the way things are handled in the modern day; or more so the way S.H.I.E.L.D. handles things.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to be released on April 4, 2014.
