It’s not known if Maurice Jones-Drew will be playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars next season, but wherever the running back does play he’ll be doing it in shape.

Jones-Drew said he’s been working out religiously and eating better and told TMZ (while in New York for the Super Bowl) that he plans to keep the weight off moving forward.

"A slimmer, trimmer MJD was out in NYC last night … and told us why he deserves to be back in the running for top fantasy football RB next season — and a lot of it has to do with this physique.Maurice acknowledged that his 2013 season rubbed a lot of fantasy owners the wrong way … but says, “It’s a brand new off-season. Started working out … I’ve lost 15 pounds in the last 2 weeks.”"

Hilarious that the main point of emphasis was fantasy football, not real football.

Regardless, it appears as if MJD has a bit of a renewed commitment and will head into NFL’s free agency looking to cash in with a much more svelte look.
