As the NHL trade winds continue to swirl, reports are surfacing that the New York Rangers are interested in acquiring St. Louis Blues right winger Chris Stewart.
From Darren Dreger of TSN’s Hockey Insider:
Western Conf teams suggest the Rangers are gathering intel on Chris Stewart. Callahan for Stewart would be a sweet deal for the Blues.

This season, Stewart has 15 goals and 25 points through 52 games, but he has been inconsistent in the first year of his two-year, $8.3 million extension.
For the Rangers, Ryan Callahan has been a name that they have floated around in previous trade rumors, so getting something in return for him before he hits the open market as an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
If something is able to come to fruition, this would be a win-win situation for both sides.
