The Baylor Bears broke out of a five-game losing skid on Saturday in a big way, upsetting the eighth-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys on the road, 76-70.
Guard Brady Heslip led the Bears back into the win column, dropping in 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting, all shots made being from beyond the arc. He then knocked in both of his free throw attempts for his final 20 on the afternoon.
Contributing off the bench in this one for Baylor was reserve forward Rico Gathers, who finished the afternoon with 14 points and six rebounds in the upset.
With the win, Baylor now improves their record to 14-7 overall and this was their second win in the Big 12 Conference this season. They can now hope they can keep these winning ways going throughout the month of February and into March.
Oklahoma State now drops to 16-5 and an even 4-4 in the Big 12, with this being their second straight loss after losing to Oklahoma earlier this week.
It doesn’t get any easier for the Cowboys as they now have to face Iowa State this Monday.
