Evansville at Wichita State final score: Shockers improve to 23-0 with 81-67 win

It was just another game and just yet another win on Saturday for the Wichita State Shockers as they improved their impressive record on the season to 23-0 with an easy win over Evansville at home.

The fourth-ranked Shockers cruised to their 23rd consecutive victory in easy fashion, especially in the second half down the stretch to walk away with the 81-67 victory, further showing that they’re ready for another incredible March run.

Four of the five Shockers starters finished the afternoon with double digits in scoring, led by Fred VanFleet who had himself another impressive outing, dropping in 14 points and adding in seven rebounds with five assists to go along.

Cleanthony Early was also stellar, finishing closest to a double-double with 13 points and eight rebounds.

Wichita State is now eight more consecutive wins away from an undefeated regular season, with all eight games being more than winnable.

The debate over whether or not this team can actually do it will be heating up now that we’ve entered the month of February.
