Inside Madison Square Garden at the moment, the seventh-ranked Michigan State Spartans are squaring off against the Georgetown Hoyas in a rather rare out-of-conference match up to begin the month of February.

These two teams, especially in the case of Michigan State, are two of the more physical teams in the country, which generally means that no one is safe, not even the referees.

On this play in which the Spartans were going for the alley-oop finish, one referee was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time, and took a pretty stiff shot at the end of the play.

You have to give him credit, he did at least try to get out of the way, but it was too little too late in his case, unfortunately.

Currently, both teams are engaged in a tight one as they come down the stretch in the second half as the Hoyas are looking to hand the Spartans yet another loss in this last week, which would be a huge boost for the Big East.
