San Diego Chargers fans across the country are very upset that their wide receiver, Keenan Allen wasn’t named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. He had some stiff competition with Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy, but both of these guys had themselves an amazing season.

There’s no reason to take away from either one of these guys as both rookies helped their teams reach the playoffs. Allen stepped up in a big way for the Chargers as he brought in 71 receptions for 1,046 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

He wasn’t an impact player during the opening round against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he shined during their loss against the Denver Broncos. Allen finished the game with six receptions for 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Don’t worry Chargers faithful, I expect Allen to repeat his performance next year.

Even though he didn’t win AP Rookie of the Year, the fans voted for him on NFL.com for Pepsi NEXT’s Rookie of the Year award according to NFL’s Twitter handle.
