The Washington Wizards aren’t a very desirable market but that hasn’t stopped star point guard John Wall from embracing his surroundings. Wall signed a max extension in the offseason to remain in Washington and he’s now starting to fully invest himself in making Washington a winner.
According to the Washington Post, Wall recently stated that when Kevin Durant hits free agency in 2016 — assuming the Thunder allow that to happen — he plans on recruiting Durant to come home and play with him in Washington.
This goes against what Wall stated earlier in his career about how he won’t be recruiting or begging anyone to come play with him to make the team better. That max extension that keeps him stuck in Washington has changed his mound and w should probably expect more than just Durant to be recruited over the next few years.
The chances that Durant comes to play with the Wizards isn’t high at the moment, but he’s from Washington which means that nothing is impossible.
