Super Bowl 2014: Top 5 storylines for the big game
Will Pete Carroll join Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer in elite coaching group?
The architect of the Seahawks has the chance to join a very elite group of coaches if the Seahawks are able to defeat the Broncos. Carroll would join Jimmy Johnson who won a championship with the Miami Hurricanes and two Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys and Barry Switzer who won with the Oklahoma Sooners and with the Cowboys.
Carroll enjoyed tremendous success with the USC Trojans that saw three Heisman winners, two AP national championships and one BCS Championship in 2004. He made $7 million this season as one of the highest-paid coaches in the NFL and has one year remaining on his deal, so an extension and raise is due this offseason, but a win could make it awfully lucrative.
