Not only did the the Mississippi State Bulldogs get a commitment from 4-star junior college cornerback Tee Shepard over the weekend, but 3-star offensive tackle Elgton Jenkins and 3-star defensive back J.T. Gray gave their pledge to Dan Mullen’s Bulldogs on Sunday.

Jenkins is a 6’5, 275-pound lineman that attends Clarksdale High School in Clarksdale Mississippi. According to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings, he is the 72nd best offensive tackle prospect, the 21st ranked prospect in Mississippi and 795th best overall prospect in the class of 2014.

The 6’0, 190-pound Gray is Jenkins’ teammate at Clarksdale High School. He is considered the 50th best athlete, 15th best prospect in Mississippi and 625th best overall prospect in the class of 2014, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Gray chose Mississippi State over offers from the Arizona Wildcats, Arizona State Sun Devils, California Golden Bears, Ole Miss Rebels and Southern Cal Trojans, among others.

Both Jenkins and Gray took official visits to Mississippi State this weekend and after Jenkins was offered a scholarship, the two decided to play together in college.
