4-star JUCO CB Tee Shepard commits to Mississippi State

4-star junior college cornerback Tee Shepard committed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Sunday.

Shepard enrolled with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, choosing the Irish over the Arizona State Sun Devils,  Okahoma Sooners and Southern Cal Trojans out of Washington Union High School in Fresno, California in 2012, but left the school because of academic issues. He later enrolled at Holmes Community College. He was considered the third best cornerback prospect and 51st ranked overall prospect in the class of 2012.

This time around, Shepard is considered the country’s 17th best overall junior college prospect and the top cornerback according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Shepard named the rival Ole Miss Rebels his leader back in November and took an official visit to California Golden Bears in December, but after visiting Mississippi State over the weekend, he made his decision.

Shepard also had offers from the Arizona State Sun Devils, Baylor Bears and Kansas State Wildcats, among others.
