Benson Henderson unhappy with potential Anthony Pettis vs Jose Aldo superfight

Last night, at UFC 169, Jose Aldo dominated Ricardo Lamas en route to his sixth UFC Featherweight title defense. After the bout, Dana White confirmed that both Aldo and Pettis want to do a superfight at 155, and the UFC will absolutely book the fight.

With that fight confirmed by White, the landscape of both the Featherweight and Lightweight divisions change dramatically. For the Featherweights, the division has just opened wider than ever before. Expect to see Chad Mendes and Cub Swanson battle for the interim or vacated Featherweight title sometime soon.

For the Lightweight contenders, the future is much more bleak. Specifically for UFC on FOX 10 winner, Benson Henderson. Henderson, the former UFC Lightweight champion, was hoping to get another crack at the UFC belt after defeating Josh Thomson last weekend by decision. The fight was closely contested, and the decision was certainly controversial. Henderson expressed his displeasure of the superfight on Twitter last night:

A fan asked Benson to clarify, which he proceeded to do:

Clearly Benson, TJ Grant, and even Nate Diaz will have to fight again before they get their shot at the UFC title.
