If you were unaware, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning likes to yell “Omaha” at the line of scrimmage. Some fans have taken it building soda displays at grocery stores to changing signs at airports. This is a different and totally unique way to use the “Omaha” call.

That is a new way to use the word. Manning has tried to explain the call without giving too much away.

“I’m not sure I know how to answer that, but I’ve had a lot people ask what ‘Omaha’ means,” Manning told reporters during his media availability, via Pro Football Talk.  “‘Omaha’ is a run play, but it could be a pass play or a play-action pass depending on a couple things – the wind, which way we’re going, the quarter and the jerseys that we’re wearing.  It varies really play to play.  There’s your answer to that one.”
