The Cleveland Browns were putting off their head coaching search earlier this season to try and wait out either Adam Gase or Dan Quinn. The two coordinators eventually met in the Super Bowl meaning neither could have interviewed for the Browns job before their season was over.
Before the Super Bowl even kicked off, the Browns filled their head coaching vacancy with Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine, but after the big game on Sunday the Browns got a bit of news that may make their stomachs turn a little.
Asked if he would have considered the Browns job, Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn said he would have been interested in it at the very least.

That’s not Quinn saying he would have taken the job, but the Browns likely could have gotten a more high profile coach if they had been on top of their coaching search, something that will not please fans still steamed over the botched search.
