Five-star recruit visited by Auburn, Alabama at grandfather's party

Being a top recruit comes with plenty of benefits, especially when you have some of the most prestigious universities in the nation fighting to bring you on board. For Prep All-American linebacker Rashaan Evans, those perks extended into the final day that colleges could contact recruits before National Signing Day with an epic party.

Evans was celebrating his grandfather’s 80th birthday, which reportedly featured visits by both the Alabama and Auburn coaching staffs.

How great is that?

Not only are you a five-star recruit who has you choice of where to play college football, but you can call yourself a peace maker thanks to the accomplishment of getting the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers coaching staffs into the same room.

“It was Bama and Auburn in the same room. Really a once in a lifetime event,” said Evans’ grandfather. “Both staffs were very cordial to each other. They ended up hanging out together and both trying to talk to Rashaan whenever they could.”

Evans, who is deciding between the two school, will be announcing his decision this Wednesday.
