After poor showing in Dubai, Tiger Woods says his game needs work

While her performed better than he did at Torrey Pines, Tiger Woods still struggled at the Dubai Desert Classic over the weekend.

Woods assessed his play after finishing the tournament in a tie for 41st — the worst he’s ever placed at the event in seven appearances — and said most aspects of his game need work:

Unfortunately I turned it around too late. I piped it all day. My iron game was not as sharp as I’d like, and I didn’t make anything. I had seven lip-outs today. That’s quite a few.

The long game was certainly frustrating last week, and we got that figured out. I hit so many good putts and just kept lipping everything out. My speed was just a fraction off and the grain would snag it, or it would blow right through (Golf Channel).

For the second year in a row, the Dubai Desert Classic was won by Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher.
