5-star defensive end Chad Thomas has been committed to the Miami Hurricanes since July.
The 6’5, 240-pound Thomas, who attends Booker T. Washington High School in Miami, Florida, continues to maintain that he is a firm commitment and that he will sign with the Hurricanes on National Signing Day Wednesday. That, however, has not stopped him from taking visits.
He was in Tallahassee to check out the Florida State Seminoles on the weekend of January 24 and this weekend, he checked out the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Thomas says his passion in life is music (he is a rapper) and cites that as one of the main reasons he chose Miami.
On Sunday, Thomas got a taste of the music in Alabama when he played piano with Tide head coach Nick Saban’s wife, Terri.
“I went to coach Saban’s house and ate breakfast and I played piano with Mrs. Saban, then we drove to the school and talked a little bit and I left from the school,” Thomas told Bama Online, a part of the 24/7 Sports network. “I had fun- she has some skills. We just put it together could make a show out of it.”
Thomas will sign at 9:00 am on Wednesday.
