Cleveland Cavaliers at Dallas Mavericks final score: Mavericks beat Cavaliers 124-107

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 124-107 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.  The Mavs improved to 28-21, and the Cavs fell to 16-32.

Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis led the way for the Mavericks with 23 points and 22 points, respectively.

The Mavs began pulling away in the third quarter, taking a 94-79 lead into the fourth.  The Cavaliers cut the deficit to 10 points with 6:26 to go, but the Mavs scored the next seven points, and never looked back.

Dallas top performers: Dirk Nowitzki scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds.  Monta Ellis netted 22 points along with seven dimes and two steals.  Samuel Dalembert added 18 points and eight rebounds.  Devin Harris scored 16 points and dished out four assists.  Brandan Wright finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, and Jose Calderon scored 11 points and dropped 10 dimes.

Cleveland top performers: Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 27 points along with eight assists and three rebounds. Luol Deng netted 18 points, eight boards, three assists, and four steals.  Tristan Thompson scored 17 points and grabbed eight boards.  Jarrett Jack finished with 12 points and eight dimes, and Anthony Bennett scored 11 points.

Next game: The Mavs head to Memphis to play the Grizzlies on Wednesday at 8 pm ET.  The Cavs play the LA Lakers on Wednesday at 7 pm ET.
