The Dallas Cowboys have one of the best wide receivers in the league in Dez Byrant. Unfortunately for the cap strapped Cowboys he is headed into the final year of his contract, the Cowboys could look to negotiate a long-term deal before the season, but they haven’t yet.

From ESPN Dallas:

"The Cowboys haven’t opened contract talks with Bryant’s agent Eugene Parker, but given the franchise will be tight against the salary cap in 2014, the team has some major decisions to finalize.“Those are all things we’ll be working on,” Cowboys’ executive vice president Stephen Jones said at the Senior Bowl regarding Bryant."

Bryant told TMZ at the Gridiron Celebrity Hoops charity event in Harlem that he wanted to stay with the club for his whole career, so the Cowboys probably don’t need to stress too much.

“I don’t even think about leaving Dallas,” Bryant said. “I’m Dallas forever. It’s gonna stay that way.”
