The 2013 season did not go according to plan for Will Muschamp and the Florida Gators as they were decimated early and often by injuries and then inconsistent play on the field which is a perfect recipe to win four games in the loaded Southeastern Conference.

The Gators own the nation’s No. 10 recruiting class according to 247Sports and the No. 7 class in the SEC with 21 commitments two days before national signing day. This class could have been ranked much higher if not for the decommitments of a pair of five-star recruits in Dalvin Cook and Ermon Lane.

However, despite the losses of Cook and Lane, the Gators feature one of the best classes in the country that is highlighted by some marquee defenders and the potential quarterback that will bring the once-vaunted Florida aerial attack back to Gainesville.

Here are the top five must-have recruits who have committed to Muschamp and the Gators.
