Florida Gators' Dante Fowler: 'I would've been the best DE FSU had'

Florida Gators’ defensive end Dante Fowler got into a few arguments on twitter Monday afternoon.

First, former Florida State Seminoles’ offensive tackle Daniel Glauser made a joke about the Super Bowl, comparing the Seattle Seahawks to Georgia Southern and the Denver Broncos to Florida. Georgia Southern defeated Florida 26-20 back in November as the Gators struggled to a 4-8 record.

A Florida fan brought the tweet to the attention of Fowler while a Florida State fan informed him that Fowler would “have to go to the FSU bench” if he played for the Seminoles.

That obviously set Fowler off.

Fowler then went on to argue with a player committed to Georgia Southern.

Florida State and Fowler have had a rough relationship. The former 5-star recruit was a long time Florida State commitment, along with two other 5-star defensive ends, Mario Edwards, Jr. and Chris Casher, before signing with the Florida Gators on National Signing Day in 2012.

Florida fans will argue that Fowler finally saw the light while Florida State fans maintain he was scared of the competition.

This is why rivalries are fun, right?
