It’s wasn’t all bad news for the Louisville Cardinals on Monday.
After the Cardinals lost 2-star cornerback Shaquille Jones to the Georgia Bulldogs earlier in the day, the Cardinals got a commitment from 2-star wide receiver Javonte Bagley.
Bagley committed to Bowling Green in early January, but after receiving an offer from Louisville, Bagley decided to give his pledge to Bobby Petrino’s squad.
At 6’3 and 180 pounds, Bagley has great size. He attends Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach, Florida. According to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings, Bagley is the 251st best wide receiver prospect, the 302nd best overall prospect in Florida and the 2,017th best overall prospect in the class of 2014.
He becomes the 18th commitment for the Cardinals, including three recruits, 3-star fullback L.J. Scott, 3-star defensive end Trevon Young and 3-star wide receiver Cameron Polk, who are already enrolled.
Bagley chose the Cardinals over offers from the Florida Atlantic Owls, Florida International Panthers and the rival Kentucky Wildcats, among others.
Bagley had had 30 catches for 449 yards and six touchdowns last season.
