The Super Bowl MVP award went to Seattle Seahawks outside linebacker Malcolm Smith, who had a 69-yard interception return for a touchdown. Smith thought it could’ve gone to anybody on the Seahawks team.

“We had a lot of guys. It could have gone to anybody. For it to be me, I was kind of surprised and happy at the same time,” Smith said, via Pro Football Talk.

Smith was still in shock about winning the Super Bowl and praised his teammates.

“It’s unbelievable,” Smith said, via USA TODAY. “I’m in shock. We expected a great fight from them. We kind of just dominated the game.

“To be in the Super Bowl and dominate the game says a lot about our group. We spend a lot of time together.

“We kind of have a chip on our shoulder, a lot of guys got overlooked, a bunch of misfits, a bunch of guys who it was said wouldn’t be anything.”
