Multiple teams have expressed interest in the swingman, including the Phoenix Suns who have even reportedly discussed a Turner trade with the Sixers.
But there’s another team who had their eyes on the former Ohio State product – the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Per Sporting News:
The Thunder, who will own Dallas’ draft pick this year if it is outside of the Top 20, expressed interest in Turner earlier in the year.
Turner, a former number two overall pick, has struggled to live up to those expectations though has seemingly turned the corner into a relatively serviceable rotation player in the NBA. Getting out of Philadelphia and being placed on a winning team where the pressures would alleviate themselves seems like a fantastic move for Turner moving forward.
It’s not known what the Thunder would be willing to part with (outside of a draft pick).
Turner has a one-year qualifying offer left on his contract.
