The Sacramento Kings have been playing better basketball since they acquired Rudy Gay from the Toronto Raptors. Despite that, the wins aren’t racking up.
Part of that has to do with the fact they’ve been without franchise big man DeMarcus Cousins for nearly two weeks, but with Gay, Cousins and Isaiah Thomas on the roster, the Kings know they have a solid core to build around.
So if a trade comes their way that would improve them this season, they’re reportedly in as Chad Ford says the Kings plan to be buyers at the upcoming NBA trade deadline.
Per Hoops Rumors:
Ford hears the Kings are looking to acquire talent rather than sell it off as they attempt a late charge at the postseason.
Sacramento has reportedly been one of the most active teams in trade talks in recent months, so this jives with previous suggestions that the Kings are looking to improve.
