Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos could start 2014 NFL regular season

The Seattle Seahawks dominated in Super Bowl XLVIII and the Denver Broncos never made it a game as the Seahawks hoisted the Lombardi Trophy for the final game of the 2013 NFL season. The first game of the 2014 NFL season could be a rematch between the two.

“As we saw last year, the NFL loves to start the season by running back a juicy matchup from the previous year. Peyton Manning will fume all offseason following the Super Bowl pummeling. The NFL could give him a chance at revenge right off the bat. A rematch between the 2013 No. 1 offense and No. 1 defense would be a thrilling way to kick off the season.”

The eight opponents Seattle will host in 2014 are  the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders and the official announcement will come in April.

However, with the exception of a date with the Packers in what would be a rematch of the game that ended with an interception ruled touchdown with replacement referees tainting the ending two seasons ago and a divisional meeting with the 49ers, the best option is Peyton Manning and the Broncos.
