Williams committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide way back in March and appeared to be one of Alabama’s more solid commitments throughout the process.
The 6’1, 180-pound Williams is from Kingsland, Georgia and attends Camden County High School.
“He’s definitely a play maker and there is no question about that,” Camden County coach Welton Coffey told Chris Hays of the Orlando Sentinel. “There are certain things that are just God-given ability; things coaches simply cannot claim. They’re just born with it.
“He’s phenomenal as far as his running ability and he’s always in the right place at the right time. He has great return ability, as far as kickoffs and punts. Things just seem to happen when Chris is on the field.”
Williams is considered the 25th best safety prospect, 27th best overall prospect in the state of Georgia and 335th best overall prospect in the class of 2014.
