The top overall player the state of Washington finally made his decision on Tuesday night.
4-star athlete Budda Baker committed to the Washington Huskies.
Baker cited family, friends, and the fact that Chris Peterson is a man and coach like Butch Goncharoff at Bellevue.
Realdawg.com staff, as well as most senior experts on 247 Crystal Ball’d Baker to UW early when he decommitted to Oregon, while others were still believing UCLA was the school to beat — but in the past two days all experts from just about every network began to sense Baker would stay home.
Baker committed to Oregon back in December, but had a changed of heart and decommitted less than a month later. Baker used an official visit on Oregon back in November and narrowed things down to Washington and UCLA. Bake took his official visit to Washington on the weekend of January 17 and visited UCLA a week later.
Baker is considered the sixth best athlete prospect and the 55th best overall prospect in the class of 2014.
Baker was also interested in the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils, among others.
