On Tuesday, he made his final decision.
The 6’2, 188-pound Parker, who attends Jenks High School in Jenks, Oklahoma, has decided to remain close to home and play for the Sooners.
Parker told reporters that it was very a stressful process, but he believes he has made the right decision.
“I just thought it was the school that best fit me,” Parker told Joey Helmer of 24/7 Sports. “I mean, all the schools were great. I just felt like they stayed with me throughout the process, and like Coach [Allan] Trimble said, I couldn’t really goof this one up. I mean, they were all great schools. They all had great coaches and all of them had great facilities and academics.”
Parker is considered the ninth best safety prospect, second best overall prospect in the state of Oklahoma and the country’s 108th best overall prospect according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Parker took an official visit to Oklahoma on the weekend of January 17 and was in Auburn for an official visit last weekend.
