It was quite the eventful first half tonight against the Baylor Bears for Kansas Jayhawks freshman Andrew Wiggins. After being held scoreless through the first 20 minutes, the stud first-year player hit a huge, buzzer-beating three-pointer to end it, and he carried that momentum right over to the second half.
Right after things got underway, Wiggins was given the ball off a fast break and he showed once again why he was one of the most highly-touted recruits coming out of high school in quite some time with this huge throw down.
The Jayhawks went up 35-27 after the first half, and are looking to get back on the right track after the letdown they had this past weekend against the Texas Longhorns.
In that game, they were dominated seemingly from beginning to end and they need to do just that to this Baylor team if they want to walk out with the win.
Showings like this from Wiggins is what is going to get them there by the time the night is over.
