The Boston Celtics have once again sent rookie center Vitor Faverani to the NBA Developmental League.
The Celtics assigned Vitor Faverani to Maine Red Claws (D-League) again. He has played three games for the Red Claws this season.

Jay King of MassLive.com tries to guess why the Celtics made the move.
Just guessing, but the schedule looks to be set up well for the rookie center to play Tuesday night with the Red Claws before rejoining the Celtics in time for a Wednesday contest in Philadelphia.
Maine visits Delaware on Tuesday, so Faverani would not need to travel too far to rejoin the Celtics by the following day. After leaving Delaware, the Red Claws have another away game Thursday morning in Canton.
Faverani, a native of Brazil, got off to a hot start early in the season and it looked like the Celtics may have found a hidden gem. Although that still may be the case, Faverani quickly cooled down.
Faverani is averaging 4.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13.2 minutes per game.
