The Sacramento Kings defeated the Chicago Bulls 99-70 at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, CA. The Kings improved to 16-32, and the Bulls fell to 23-24.
Kings center DeMarcus Cousins returned after spraining his ankle against the Houston Rockets on January 22nd. He scored 25 points and grabbed 16 boards in 34 minutes of playing time. What a game for the fourth year player out of Kentucky.
Isaiah Thomas added 19 points, three rebounds, and three assists for the Kings. Rudy Gay finished with 14 points and six rebounds. Derrick Williams had nine boards and five points. Jimmer Fredette scored 11 points in 11 minutes of PT, and left the City of Sacramento wondering, what could Jimmer do with more PT?
The Bulls shot 28.2% from the field. It was a disappointing night for the sixth ranked team in the Eastern Conference. Chicago plays Phoenix tomorrow night, which is probably the best remedy for laying a brick house in Sacramento.
Jimmy Butler led the way for the Bulls with 17 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Taj Gibson and Tony Snell both chipped in 11 points. Carlos Boozer scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds. D.J. Augustin finished with eight points and seven assists.
The Kings play the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday at 10 pm ET.
