The Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks are currently locked in a tight battle in the first half. The Pacers took an early four-point lead, 19-15, at the end of the first quarter. However, the Hawks exploded for 28 second quarter points and were able to take a one point lead, 43-42, into the half.
In the second half, the Pacers have been made a little bit of a run to take the lead back and are threatening to take complete control of the game. Pacers’ guard Lance Stephenson, who is enjoying what most would call a “breakout” season, has helped the Pacers regain the lead. Unfortunately, as he helped the Pacers push the lead to seven in the third quarter, he went down to the ground holding his back. Stephenson got the ball in transition and drove to the basket, but was fouled hard and went crashing to the ground. Stephenson impressively did make the shot.
Many believe Stephenson, who is averaging 14.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game, was the biggest All-Star snub.
