The No. 3 Florida Gators defeated the Missouri Tigers 68-58 at Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainsville, Florida. The Gators improved to 20-2 (9-0 SEC), the Tigers fell to 16-6 (4-5 SEC).
Missouri led 45-43 after a Jordan Clarkson jumper with 9:58 to go in the second half. However, the Gators went on a 14-3 run over the next 6:24 to takeover the game. The Tigers were unable to overcome the late-game deficit, and lost by 10 points.
The Tigers will look to shoot better in their next contest after shooting 39.6% from the field. The Gators have room for improvement as well after shooting 44.2%.
Florida top performers: Scottie Wilbekin scored 19 points and dished out four dimes. Michael Frazier II netted 14 points along with three rebounds and two assists. Patric Young finished with 13 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Dorian Finney-Smith added seven rebounds and three points.
Missouri top performers: Jabari Brown scored 15 points along with six assists and two rebounds. Jordan Clarkson netted 14 points and grabbed two boards. Ryan Rosburg added eight points and seven rebounds. Jonathan Williams III finished with six points and five rebounds.
Next game: The Gators play the Crimson Tide on Saturday at 12 pm ET. The Tigers head to Ole Miss to play the Rebels on Saturday at 5 pm ET.
