When the Texas Rangers drafted Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in the Rule 5 Draft, not many people expected Wilson to take it seriously. While he’s not going to be playing for the Rangers, he’s still going to be attending Spring Training but he’s now doing so as a Super Bowl champion.
Don’t expect Wilson to do much more than give inspirational speeches, as Jon Morosi is reporting that the Seahawks quarterback has no intentions of participating in Spring Training with the Rangers.
Russell Wilson’s agent, Mark Rodgers, clarified that Wilson has no plans to actively participate in Rangers spring training.

Just having Wilson at Spring Training might be enough, as hiss tory is an incredible one and he’s shot to the top of his profession in just his second year in the NFL. The Rangers can learn a thing or two from Wilson and even if he doesn’t participate, just hearing his words could be enough.
