Suk-Min Yoon throws for Rangers, Cubs

Korean right handed pitcher Suk-Min Yoon continues to have teams look at him during throwing sessions, but now we know how close he is to signing. The answer is ‘not.’

T.R. Sullivan, Rangers’ beat writer for MLB.com says that the 27-year old threw for both the Rangers and the Chicago Cubs today. He threw thirty pitches, like he did for the Orioles and Giants over the weekend.

Sullivan states that the former KBO MVP is not close to signing, perhaps for two reasons. Yoon suffered a shoulder injury back in 2009-2010, raising some red flags about his durability. The righty also reportedly wants a multi-year deal, but the biggest concern appears to be his health.
