50 Cent will be making his way around Dayton International Speedway again this year, but this time he will be showing up as a sponsor. 50 Cent, also known by his full name Curtis Jackson, has become an associate sponsor for Brandon Davis’ Swan Racing team.
SMS Audio, which was founded by 50 Cent, will be on the Toyotas driven by Parker Kligerman and Cole Whitt.
“I told him if the opportunity presented itself, he could give my wife a kiss on the cheek as many times as he’d like,” Swan Racing team owner Brandon Davis told USA TODAY Sports.
If you don’t recall what Davis is talking about, here is a quick reminder:
“I believe [50 Cent] has more of a Twitter and Facebook following than all the drivers in NASCAR combined,” Davis said. “So for us, it’s a huge opportunity to expand into new markets. We’re an up and coming brand, so is SMS. I’m an entrepreneur who came from nothing and so did 50 Cent. We have a lot of synergies. It’s all about the growth, and it’s a good opportunity for both entities to grow together.”
Jackson will be at Daytona this year, along with the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis and at least two other races throughout the year.
