Atlanta Braves unveil 'military appreciation' jersey (Photo)

The San Diego Padres decided a few years ago they would honor the immense amount of military personnel in the area by wearing camouflage uniforms.

That trend became quite popular around Major League Baseball in recent years with many teams choosing to follow suit.

Some of opted to replicate the camo-inspired look (say like the Arizona Diamondbacks) while the Atlanta Braves will go with a more Stars and Stripes theme as they unveiled their new ‘military appreciation’ jersey today.

The threads will feature a red base for the uniform (nothing unexpected) but it’s the script which will differ from the norm.

The trademark ‘Braves’ across the chest of the jersey will be navy blue and feature white stars mixed in, giving the jersey a typical ‘red, white and blue’ appearance – almost coming across as a unique version of the United States flag.

In addition, the left sleeve will feature the American flag patch – something most teams do on the 4th of July or Memorial Day holidays.

Pretty sweet looking jersey if I do say so myself.
