Bubba McDaniel accidentally posted UFC wage on Twitter

Yesterday, news broke that TUF 17 alumnus and UFC Middleweight, Bubba McDaniel, tweeted out his 2013 wages from the UFC. Bubba deleted the tweet, and today maintains that it was an accident all along.

First off, check out Bubba’s tweet from yesterday:

Obviously, $33,200 is not very much money for a professional athlete, and the tweet could possibly be misconstrued as complaining. The tweet caused many people to question the UFC’s pay structure once again, but Bubba says it was a complete accident in the first place (Courtesy of Bloody Elbow):

First off, I want to say that this was a mistake, and I’m totally appalled. I didn’t need to have anyone think that I’m complaining. I’ve dreamed about being an athlete my whole life. I’m not complaining at all. And, actually, I have a part time job, and actually I just got a second part time job.

I signed the contract, I’m not complaining about it.

I was sending the info to my accountant and I saw “posted on Twitter.” I thought I deleted it the split second it posted, I didn’t think anyone saw it.

I’m not a guy to jump down somebody’s throat, though. It’s me that stepped wrong in the first place.

Bubba is set to fight at UFC 171 against fellow TUF 17 alumnus, Tor Troeng.
