National Signing Day 2014: CB Terrence Alexander chooses Stanford

The Stanford Cardinal beefed up the power of their defense just a little bit more on Wednesday as they got a huge commitment out of the state of Louisiana from four-star CB Terrence Alexander on National Signing Day.

Live on ESPNU, Alexander made his commitment to head coach David Shaw and the Cardinal over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, certainly a decision that any young scholar athlete would love to have on their plate.

Alexander provides a great boost in the secondary in Palo Alto, and might indeed have a chance to see the field this year in 2014.

At 5-10 and 180-pounds, Alexander has the perfect size to be one of the top defensive backs in the Pac-12 down the road.

As far as Stanford’s class goes, this was a huge boost to their rating and might even solidify them withing the top 20 when all is said and done.

Again, follow along with FanSided all day as we’ll have live coverage of all the big announcements as they happen live on national television on this National Signing Day for 2014.
