It has been a whirlwind of a week for the Vanderbilt Commodores who have finished with a flurry on the recruiting trail after having a number of committed recruits leave the program in the wake of James Franklin leaving to become the head coach at Penn State.
One of the biggest additions to the class of 2014 for new head coach Derek Mason is three-star wide receiver Ladarius Wiley (Los Angeles, Calif.Cathedral High School) who becomes the 21st player to commit to Vanderbilt.

Wiley ranks as the No. 1,145 overall recruit and the No. 147 wide receiver accordin gto the 247Sports composite rankings. He is the third wide receiver in the class, joining fellow three-star recruits Caleb Scott and Rashad Canty.
Mason and his staff have done a nice job salvaging this class with very little time on his hands so even though they will finish with the worst class in the Southeastern conference, next year’s class should be markedly improved with a full year to hit the recruiting trail.
