National Signing Day 2014: Updated Rivals team rankings for Wednesday

post

National Signing Day is about halfway done on this first Wednesday in February and there are certainly a lot of teams throughout the country that are making a lot of moves, especially in the rankings.

Coming in, the top 10 rankings have been pretty much set for the past few weeks, but there were a few jumps now that we’re mid-way through the festivities.

Here, now, is an updated look at the team rankings from the dedicated folks over at Rivals.

#7 Florida 24 1 12 11 3.58 2389
#8 Georgia 19 1 11 6 3.63 2242
#9 Notre Dame 23 1 10 12 3.52 2211

#13 Stanford 20 0 9 11 3.45 2085
#14 Kentucky 28 0 10 16 3.29 2016
#15 Oklahoma 24 1 7 13 3.25 1983

One of the biggest jumps was made by the LSU Tigers, who were able to secure the top wide receiver in the nation in Malchi Dupre.

What’s also significant is the fact that Butch Jones and the Tennessee Volunteers are firmly sitting in the top five, even though their day is completed already with their over 30 signees.

This most certainly won’t be the end of the movement on this National Signing Day, but for now, this is where things sit for the time being.
