Earlier in the week, it appeared that 4-star offensive tackle Derrick Kelly was down to the Florida Gators and LSU Tigers.
Kelly attends East Gadsden High School in Havana, Florida, which is just a few exits up the road from Tallahassee, Florida.
Kelly was a life long Seminoles fan and made it known that he wanted to be a Seminoles. Unfortunately for Kelly, it didn’t look like he would get an offer from the Seminoles.
On Tuesday night, the Seminoles must have gotten some intel on other recruits because they gave him an offer.
Obviously, it didn’t take much convincing for Kelly to sign with the Seminoles.

The 6’5, 290-pound Kelly is considered a composite 3-star recruit according to 24/7 Sports (although 24/7 Sports lists him as a 4-star). He is considered the 55th best offensive tackle prospect, the 82nd best overall prospect in the state of Florida and 572nd best overall prospect, according to the composite rankings.
