“Jeffery Mead is a three-sport athlete. The interesting thing about him is he is one of their top basketball players, leading their team. He was a quarterback for most of his football career. He didn’t become a receiver until his junior year so he is very inexperienced and raw in that his best football is ahead of him,” Co-OC/WR Coach Jay Norvell said, via the team’s website. “He is highly explosive for his size and that is one of his greatest attributes. He is a very intelligent kid. He speaks fluent Spanish and he wants to learn Chinese. That gives you an idea about his intelligence.”
