The Indiana Pacers have been linked to a few players in recent days, namely Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry.

The pending free agent to be could be traded by the Toronto Raptors in the coming days/weeks and the Pacers seem like a logical fit. But general manager Kevin Pritchard says the Pacers have no plans to replace George Hill as their starting point guard as his catch and shoot ability is exactly what the Pacers need.

We feel great about George Hill. … For us George Hill fits us perfectly because he’s a great catch-and-shoot player and he gets us in our offense, and Lance (Stephenson) and Paul (George) are such good playmakers.”

Of course – it could all be semantics in how Pritchard phrased his response, but it looks as if Indiana isn’t banking on acquiring Lowry as some reports have indicated.

Hill will continue to get the lion’s share of point guard minutes for now, though, it’s tough to see them turning down an offer for Lowry if he truly is available.
