Joe Freeman of The Oregonian collected some reader-generated questions for Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard this week, and the All-Star guard responded Thursday.

While he discussed a slew of topics, Lillard’s best answer was to a question regarding what he likes about the city of Portland:

My thing about Portland, what I like, they support what they support. People say, ‘Oh, it’s kind of a hippie town. And it’s weird.’ But they’re strong about being weird. They’re strong about it being a hippie town. You know what I mean? The Trail Blazers, they’re strong about supporting the Trail Blazers. Last year, we had a 13-game losing streak and the games were still packed and the fans were still cheering. I can respect that, because I come from loyalty. I like that “thick-and-thin” type.

Lillard also revealed that roller-skating is one of his favorite hobbies, which is a pretty darn Portland-y thing to say.
