National Signing Day 2014: Grades and Analysis for Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide finished with the No. 1 recruiting class for the class of 2014 according to ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports. In fact, the class assembled by Nick Saban and his staff is the best ever in the Rivals250 era.

Alabama signed six five-stars, 15 four-stars and five three-star recruits according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings to best the LSU Tigers for the best class in the nation with eight already enrolled in classes.

The class is led by Cameron Robinson who headlines a crop of offensive linemen that may be the best ever assembled and quarterback David Cornwell on offense and defensively it’s stars are five-stars Da’Shawn Hand, Marlon Humphrey, Tony Brown and signing day addition Rashaan Evans who turned down Auburn.

The class is loaded at every position and filled needs at every position, they even signed the No. 5 kicker in the country, and there really isn’t any negatives you can say about this class.

Alabama has the No. 1 class for the fourth year in a row and this class will have high expectations to live up to based on their lofty recruiting ranks and all-time great status, but you have to like their chances of winning at least one national title.
