National Signing Day 2014: Grades and Analysis for Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs finished with the No. 8 recruiting class in the nation and the No. 6 class in the Southeastern Conference according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Mark Richt’s class this year featured three five-star recruits led by defensive end Lorenzo Carter and running backs Sony Michel and Nick Chubb. You can view the entire class here.

Georgia lost four-star safety commit Kendall Gant on the eve of national signing day, but the Bulldogs rebounded nicely with the signing day addition of Carter and four-star receiver Isiah McKenzie to close strong.

Jacob Park is already enrolled in classes and could be the team’s quarterback of the future and tight end Jeb Blazevich is one of the top tight ends in the country. Defensive tackle Lamont Gailliard and defensive end Keyon Brown give Georgia a nice looking front when you picture those two being aided by Carter’s presence.

A little more help at linebacker and cornerback are the only gripes I would have, but overall this is a top-notch class.
