The Denver Nuggets have been ravaged by injuries to their backcourt and now word has come down that the team may be losing a key cog in their front court as well. Less than a week after losing Nate Robinson to a torn ACL, the Nuggets are fearing that JaVale McGee will also be lost for the reminder of the season with a stress fracture in his leg.
Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports states that sources close to the Nuggets believe the big man is done for the year.
Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee could miss the rest of the season because of a stress fracture in his left leg, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
McGee, 26, has been seeking further medical consultation on the injury, which hasn’t been able to heal properly this season, league sources said.
McGee has just five games under his belt this season as the foot injury occurred back in November. He’s been trying to fix the problem over the last couple of months but things are not looking good for McGee’s return in 2014.
